Amazing train journey
Up early to
catch the 8.25 train for the 460Km journey from Oslo to Bergen. Six and a half
hours of captivating mountain scenery. I can see why it is one of the most scenic railway journeys in the world.
We had very good seats with panoramic windows and were on the most
scenic side of the train. Sunshine all the way and not a cloud in the
sky. I will let the pictures speak for
themselves.
We arrived in Bergen on time and checked into our hotel. We went for a walk around the town until the sun went down and found a very nice Lithuanian restaurant for dinner. I will include more about Bergen tomorrow.
